About Cara Knox, LLC
The purpose of Cara Knox, LLC is to fulfill consumers’ need for unexpected cards, invitations and gifts that explore the range of human emotion and universal sentiment for any occasion. Founder Cara Knox comes from a line of stationers including her grandmother Kay, who owned and operated Kay’s Invitations for 30 years. Cara’s mother, Karen grew up in the business, selling her mother’s line of cards and gifts to customers in New York City and Washington, Missouri.
This love of fine paper and monogrammed things rubbed off on Cara when at an early age she learned to print napkins using Kay’s hot foil hand press. While most girls played with dolls, Cara planned corporate takeovers as president and CEO of “World Office,” her own make-believe empire of paper products. The youngest of her friends to own a personalized nameplate, stamp and stationery set, Cara mailed letters to political candidates and the Tooth Fairy.
Her love of the written word and making a difference in the lives of women - one card at a time – continues with Cara Knox, LLC.
Educated at Stephens College, the second oldest women’s college in the country, Cara’s dream is to support women entrepreneurs as they express themselves through the performing arts, fashion and design.
